Fabric Artist – Flour Sack Towels

What began as a hobby after Pat retired from the US Postal Service has turned into a viable cottage industry. Pat’s brightly colored characters to her intricate monogrammed initials have become one of the most popular items in the Black Belt Treasures Gallery. When someone likes her work, she really feels rewarded!

Pat said her inspiration was originally derived from “my Granny”. She has been working with the flour sack towels for about five years, and it is obvious that she has a real passion for this medium. She confesses to having taken a few sewing classes in the past but loves using her new computerized sewing machine for all that it allows her to accomplish.

Pat’s work can also be seen at The Mole Hole in Pensacola, FL.
